Oh, it feels good. We’ve moved in, hung a few pictures, done some laundry and cooked meals. Home is feeling like “home,” and this morning, E has been checked-in at her beloved drop-in nursery for two hours while I’m back at the local coffee shop, warm beverage in hand, checking things off my much overdue to-do list – which is pleasantly void of online housing searches, flat viewings, or moving details!
Isn’t it amazing how naturally our bodies can adjust to the current speed and “new normals” of life and yet also kick and scream at us when it’s time for a change? We’ve had a fun ride in high gear with all of the moving excitement (no worries, I still have plenty to write on that subject!), but I’m looking forward to slowing down a bit and diving back in to the “old normal” of writing, emailing, TRIP PLANNING (prepare yourselves…now that the move is over, we are making up for lost time! Barcelona, Rome, and Brussels, along with several more exotic options, are quickly finding their way on to our calendars for this year!), reading, the list goes on.
The days are getting longer – the UK will finally do Daylight Savings this week! – and the weather is turning, so hold on tight, because E and I are ready for some serious adventures!!
