Our lives so far in 2015 have been filled with a number of unknowns, – where will we live? when will we be moving? how will this new home affect our budget going forward? – and we’ve chosen to postpone all decisions regarding holidays and big purchases until after these questions can be answered.
It looks like we’re finally in the homestretch in regard to finding our new place, but right now, all I can think about, is how much I wish we had a nice, quiet, relaxing holiday planned for the near future. It’s much like those looong, hard days at work when you find yourself pulling the calendar off the wall to count the days to the next holiday, vacation or, if you’re really desperate, doctor’s appointment.
I would just love to be wrapped in a blanket of warm sun, good book in hand and away from the craziness of everyday life right now. Who wouldn’t?!
Troy has reminded me that it’s a little absurd to be itching for a “time-out” of this sort when we experienced something so similar to it just last month…I know. I get it. I have no argument. Like I said, we’ve spent lots of time discussing wants vs. needs lately, and the subject of holidays and travel is my weakness.
As it sounds like my husband will be pushing off our “12 countries in 12 months” adventure plan for another month at least, I find myself curled up on the couch with Dex on my lap, a piping hot mug of English Afternoon Tea in my hand and an iphoto program filled to the brim with pictures of just the kind of day I’m craving.
Any chance you’re in the midst of those winter blues and ready to see something pretty as well? Here’s a little Dubai sunshine and calm – mostly in the form of E pics that everyone’s been asking for! ;) – to hopefully warm your heart, too!
I may not have a beach and sunshine at my disposal this weekend, but I do have the next two days of family dreaming and silliness to look forward to! Hope you can find a way to make all of that snow look fresh and exciting again or the bitter cold feel warm and cozy, too. Happy Friday, everyone!

Wonderful pictures. It is subzero temperatures in Wisconsin with the winds off Lake Michigan sending the wind chill temperature to -20 and -30’s here in Milwaukee. We have spring fever. Thanks for the posts.
